Amanda Rosehart is a Professional Research Assistant in the Anesthesiology Department, University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont.
Mrs. Rosehart originally began her research as a technician conducting behavioral studies with ADHD model rats. She has since changed her focus to research on intracerebral vasculature. More specifically, she is researching the mechanisms regulating cerebral blood flow and how it is affected in cerebrovascular diseases like CADASIL. She has made instrumental progress by studying arterioles, capillaries, and pericytes in ex vivo preparations of pressurized vascular trees, mimicking physiological blood pressure.
