Dr. Michael Wells is an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry at Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine in the USA. He completed his PhD at the University of Michigan under the mentorship of Dr. Gyorgyi Csankovszki, elucidating the molecular mechanism of Caenorhabditis elegans X chromosome dosage compensation. He completed his post-doctoral training at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine with Dr. Deborah Andrew, examining the cellular architecture of mosquito salivary glands and this tissue's barrier functions during malaria parasite invasion. His current research interests center on mosquito molecular biology and bioinformatics analysis.
