Here, we present a protocol to study the invasion of tumor cells into living normal tissue fragments in three dimensions. This organ culture technique is mainly applied to test potentially anti-invasive drugs in vitro.
Here, we report an inexpensive and reproducible method demonstrating the membrane transport of histidine in a goat intestine. This process occurs by co-transporting histidine and sodium ions enabled by the sodium gradient across the enterocyte membrane. This method exploits experiential learning pedagogy to better understand solute movement across biological membranes.
In the present work, we elucidate the green synthesis of quinoline-based Ionic Liquid (IL), namely, 1-Hexadecylquinolin-1-ium bromide {[C16quin]Br} by mixing quinoline with an excess of 1-Bromohexadecane, along with its detailed characterization using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and Infrared spectroscopic measurements.
