Rony Nehmé is an Application Scientist at Creoptix AG, Wädenswil, Switzerland. He received his MSc in Microbiology from the University of Rouen, France and a Ph.D in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Nice, France.

During Dr. Nehmé’s training, he developed a keen focus on membrane protein research with a specialisation in G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs). As a post-doctoral investigator scientist (2010 to 2017) in Chris Tate’s lab at the MRC - Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK, he studied the expression, purification, characterisation and pharmacology of many GPCRs. The engineering of the G-proteins that he developed, helped solving the cryo-EM structure of the serotonin receptor 5HT1B bound to the Go heterotrimer.
