Hannah Robert is a laboratory assistant in the Department of Neurosurgery, David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California Los Angeles. She received her undergraduate degree with honors from Pepperdine University.
During Hannah’s training, she became fascinated with various aspects of the developing adolescent brain in the context of neurotrauma. As a Laboratory Manager and Research Assistant in the neuroscience laboratory of Dr. Michael Folkerts at Pepperdine University, she examined the female rodent estrous cycle during adolescence and the methods of estrous cellular collection. She then worked with the neurotrauma laboratory of Dr. Mayumi Prins at the University of California Los Angeles to examine the dendritic spines of pyramidal neurons within male and female adolescent rat athlete models.
