Umfangreiche Forschung hat sich auf den Neurotransmitter Dopamin wegen ihrer Bedeutung in der Wirkmechanismus von Drogen (zB Kokain und Amphetamin), seine Rolle in psychiatrischen Erkrankungen (zB Schizophrenie und Aufmerksamkeits-Defizit-Syndrom mit Hyperaktivität), und seine Einbindung in degenerative konzentriert Erkrankungen wie Parkinson und Chorea Huntington. Unter normalen physiologischen Bedingungen wird Dopamin bekannt, Bewegungsaktivität, Kognition, Lernen, emotionale Auswirkungen, und neuroendokrinen Sekretion regulieren. Eines der größten Dichten von Dopamin-Neuronen innerhalb des Striatum, die in zwei unterschiedlichen neuroanatomischen Regionen wie der Nucleus accumbens und die caudate-Putamen bekannt aufgeteilt werden kann. Ziel ist es, ein allgemeines Protokoll für Stück Fast-Scan-Cyclovoltammetrie (FSCV) in der Maus Striatum zu illustrieren. FSCV ist eine gut definierte elektrochemische Technik bietet die Möglichkeit, die Freisetzung von Dopamin und Aufnahme zu messen und in Echtzeit in discrete Hirnregionen. Kohlefaser Mikroelektroden (Durchmesser von ca. 7 um) sind in FSCV zur Dopamin-Oxidation zu erkennen. Die analytische Vorteil der Verwendung FSCV zu Dopamin zu erkennen ist die erweiterte zeitliche Auflösung von 100 Millisekunden und räumlichen Auflösung von weniger als zehn Mikrometer, das ergänzende Informationen zur In-vivo-Mikrodialyse.
