I obtained a Master Degree in Nanotechnologies for ICTs and a Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering from Polytechnic of Turin (Italy). During my Ph.D. I've visited for 6 months the Khademhosseini Laboratory, part of the Harvard-MIT Health Science and technology where I was extremely excited to work on tissue engineering with particular focus on bioprinting of hydorgel-based biological scaffolds, integrated with electrodes, for regenerative medicine applications.

I currently work on the integration of different types of cells and materials on CMOS chips. Higher focus is given to electrogenic cells (cardiac cells, neurons, ...). The main application is for advanced organs-on-chip devices integrating also microfluidics and/or electrical read-out, for drug-screening or disease modeling.

I am strongly interested and motivated to study how this combination of nano/micro-technologies/fabrication and electrical characterizations can impact the medical diagnostic field and, specifically, diseases early diagnosis and personalized treatment.
