Dr. Nicholas Kurniawan is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biomedical Engineering in Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands. His research focuses on understanding how the physical and mechanical interactions between cells and cellular environments shape physiological tissue function and drive pathologies. His interdisciplinary team combines approaches from biophysics, mechanobiology, microfabrication, and cell biology with an outlook of exploiting cell–materials interactions for regenerative medicine applications.
