As a Research Technician at the Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation (SZI) within Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C., Damon McCullough leads experimental design and data analysis to improve our understanding of pediatric heart physiology.
During his undergraduate training and employment at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., Mr. McCullough focused on rapid prototyping of electrical/software systems, robust data analysis, and informative data visualization. Since joining Dr. Nikki Posnack's lab at SZI, he's applied those skills to acquire optical and cardiovascular data, design electrical systems, and develop novel software for optical data analysis.
By applying engineering expertise to biological experimentation, Mr. McCullough aims to help drive pediatric cardiovascular research and inform clinical approaches to critically ill children and adults.
