Dr. Xiao-Wei Wang earned his PhD from the National University of Singapore. After a postdoctoral training at the Harvard University, he was recruited to the Institute of Insect Sciences, Zhejiang University. His main research interests are to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of the vector-virus-plant interactions. His research currently focuses on: 1) Insect-plant interactions; 2) the molecular mechanism of plant virus transmission by the whitefly Bemisia tabaci.
