Entzündliche Darmerkrankungen (IBD), einschließlich Morbus Crohn und Colitis ulcerosa, chronische rezidivierende Erkrankungen des Darmes. Sie verursachen schwere Probleme wie Bauchkrämpfe, blutiger Durchfall und Gewichtsverlust, in den betroffenen Individuen. Leider gibt es noch keine Heilung, und Behandlungen zielen nur die Symptome zu lindern. Gegenwärtige Behandlungen schließen entzündungshemmende und immunsuppressive Medikamente, die starke Nebenwirkungen verursachen können. Dies garantiert, dass die Suche nach alternativen Behandlungsmöglichkeiten, wie zum Beispiel Nahrungsergänzungsmittel, die keine Nebenwirkungen verursachen. Vor ihrer Anwendung in klinischen Studien, müssen solche Verbindungen rigoros auf ihre Wirksamkeit und Sicherheit in Tiermodellen getestet werden. Eine verlässliche experimentelle Modell ist das Dextransulfat-Natrium (DSS) Colitis-Modell bei Mäusen, die bei Menschen viele der klinischen Symptome der Colitis ulcerosa wiedergibt. Wir wendeten dieses Modell vor kurzem die wohltuende Wirkung eines Nahrungsergänzungsmittel zu testen, enthaltendVitamine C und E, L-Arginin und ω3-mehrfach ungesättigte Fettsäuren (PUFA). Wir untersuchten verschiedene Parameter Krankheit und festgestellt, dass diese Ergänzung konnte Ödembildung, Gewebeschädigung, Leukozyteninfiltration, oxidativer Stress, und die Produktion von pro-inflammatorischen Zytokinen zu verbessern, was zu einer Gesamtverbesserung in der Krankheitsaktivitätsindex. In diesem Artikel erläutern wir ausführlich in der korrekten Anwendung von Nahrungsergänzungsmitteln, die DSS Colitis-Modell in C57Bl / 6-Mäuse, sowie wie Krankheitsparameter wie Histologie, oxidativen Stress und Entzündungen werden mit bewertet. die positiven Auswirkungen der verschiedenen Nahrungsergänzungen analysieren dann schließlich neue Wege für die Entwicklung alternativer Behandlungsstrategien öffnen kann, die IBD Symptome zu lindern und / oder dass die Phasen des Stillstands, ohne dass schwere Nebenwirkungen zu verlängern.
