Marina Danalache has received her BSc. degree in biomedical engineering from the “Gr.T.Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy - Iasi, Romania. She further pursued her MSc. degree in bioengineering at the University of Applied Science - Furtwangen, Germany. Her Ph.D. project was conducted in the Department of Orthopaedic surgery, University Hospital of Tübingen, Germany and focused on investigating the biochemical and biomechanical signatures of load bearing tissues as well as the structure-function-effect relationship of healthy as well as pathologic states. She is currently continuing her research on osteoarthritic articular cartilage in the Department of Orthopaedic surgery, University Hospital of Tübingen, Germany.
