因此，超高速超声波非常适合在各种情况下的图像血流。它仅限于软生物组织，并将受到硬接口（如骨骼或气腔，如肺）的存在的强烈影响。超声波序列物理参数的调整允许研究减速（下降到1毫米/s 11，16）和快速流动（高达几米/s）。空间分辨率和渗透深度之间存在权衡。通常，分辨率为 50 μm，成本为 5 mm 左右。相反，渗透可以扩展到15-20厘米，成本分辨率为1毫米。值得注意的是，大多数超高速扫描仪，如本文中使用的扫描仪，只提供2D图像。
