Advances in Massenspektrometrie haben die Hochdurchsatz-Analyse der Proteinexpression und Modifikation in einer Vielzahl von Geweben erlaubt. Kombiniert mit subzelluläre Fraktionierung und Krankheitsmodelle, quantitative Massenspektrometrie und der Bioinformatik neue Eigenschaften in biologischen Systemen offenbaren kann.
