Optical coherence tomography (OCT), a three-dimensional imaging technology, was used to monitor and characterize the growth kinetics of multicellular tumor spheroids. Precise volumetric quantification of tumor spheroids using a voxel counting approach, and label-free dead tissue detection in the spheroids based on intrinsic optical attenuation contrast, were demonstrated.

This protocol describes the generation of patient-derived orthotopic xenograft models by intra-vesically instilling high-grade urothelial cell carcinoma cells or intra-rectally injecting colorectal cancer cells into non-obese diabetic/severe combined immunodeficiency (NOD/SCID) mice for primary tumor growth and spontaneous metastases under the influence of lymph node stromal cells, which mimics the progression of human metastatic diseases.

WheelCon is a novel, free and open-source platform to design video games that noninvasively simulates mountain biking down a steep, twisting, bumpy trail. It contains components presenting in human sensorimotor control (delay, quantization, noise, disturbance, and multiple feedback loops) and allows researchers to study the layered architecture in sensorimotor control.

This article presents a novel and convenient route to synthesize Fe2O3/faujasite (FAU)-type zeolite composite material from red soil. The detailed synthesis parameters have been finely tuned. The obtained composite material can be used for efficient heavy metal-contaminated water remediation, indicating its potential applications in environmental engineering.

This protocol describes the study of the quasi-static compression performance of corrugated tapered tubes using finite element simulations. The influence of the thickness gradient on the compression performance was investigated. The results show that proper thickness gradient design can change the deformation mode and significantly improve the energy absorption performance of the tubes.

Here we present a protocol for the generation and functional verification of hypoxia-sensitive chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cells. This protocol presents the lentivirus-based generation of hypoxia-sensitive CAR-T cells and their characterization, including the validation of hypoxia-dependent CAR expression and selective cytotoxicity.
