Primaten entwickeln spontan Endometriose und somit Primatenmodelle am ehesten die Krankheit bei Frauen ähneln. Nager-Modelle, sind aber kostengünstiger und leicht verfügbar 2. Das Modell, das wir hier beschreiben, beinhaltet eine autologe Transfer von Gebärmutter-Gewebe der Darmwand Mesenterium (Abbildung 1) und wurde zum ersten Mal in der Ratte 3 entwickelt und später an der Maus 4 übertragen. Das Ziel der autologen Nagetier Modell der chirurgisch-induzierten Endometriose ist zu imitierendie Krankheit bei Frauen. Wir und andere haben bereits gezeigt, dass die veränderte Genexpressionsmuster in Endometrioseherde von Mäusen oder Ratten Spiegel bei Frauen mit der Krankheit 5,6 beobachtet wurden. Ein Vorteil der Durchführung der Operation in der Maus ist, dass die Fülle von transgenen Mauslinien zur Verfügung können die Forscher bei der Bestimmung der Rolle von spezifischen Komponenten wichtig für die Gründung und das Wachstum der Endometriose helfen. Ein alternatives Modell, in dem ausgeschnittenen menschlichen Endometrium-Fragmente an das Bauchfell von immungeschwächten Mäusen eingebracht werden, ist ebenfalls weit verbreitet, sondern wird durch das Fehlen eines normalen Immunsystems, die Gedanken zu sein bei der Endometriose 2,7 wichtig ist begrenzt. Wichtig ist, dass die Maus-Modell der chirurgisch induzierten Endometriose ein vielseitiges Modell, das verwendet wurde, zu untersuchen, wie das Immunsystem 8, Hormone 9,10 und Umweltfaktoren 11,12 Endometriose sowie die Auswirkungen von Endometriose auf fert beeinflussenility 13 und Schmerzen 14.
