We describe a semi-quantitative approach of measuring characteristics of corticolous (bark-dwelling) arthropod communities. We placed commercially manufactured sticky traps on tree boles to estimate abundance, total length (a surrogate to biomass), richness, and Shannon diversity for comparison among tree species.
This protocol demonstrates use of the proximity ligation assay to probe for protein-protein interactions in situ in the C. elegans germline.
Protein thiol oxidation has significant implications under normal physiological and pathophysiological conditions. We describe the details of a quantitative redox proteomics method, which utilizes resin-assisted capture, isobaric labeling, and mass spectrometry, enabling site-specific identification and quantification of reversibly oxidized cysteine residues of proteins.
The present protocol describes the wire myograph technique for measuring vascular reactivity of the rat coronary artery.
The protocol here provides a detailed real-time dynamic sampling of extracellular fluid from the hippocampus of awake rats using a microdialysis system.
The present protocol describes a simple and efficient method for the real-time and dynamic collection of rat heart blood using the microdialysis technique.
The present protocol describes an efficient method for the real-time and dynamic acquisition of voltage-gated potassium (Kv) channel currents in H9c2 cardiomyocytes using the whole-cell patch-clamp technique.
