Die Bakterien werden konstruiert, um ein fluoreszierendes Protein exprimieren, wodurch deren Visualisierung durch Fluoreszenzmikroskopie. Mikroskopischen Analyse ergibt sowohl Kolonisierung Frequenz innerhalb einer Population von Bakterien und Lokalisierung von Geweben 14, 16, 19-21 hosten.
