peptides from phage display library modulate gene expression in mesenchymal cells and potentiate osteogenesis in unicortical bone defects

Dois novos peptídeos sintéticos acelerar a formação óssea e podem ser entregues utilizando uma matriz de colágeno. O objetivo deste estudo foi investigar os efeitos sobre a reparação óssea em um modelo de defeito unicorticais. Tratamento de células mesenquimais produziu um aumento na atividade da fosfatase alcalina, mostrou formação de nódulos pelas células, e aumentou a expressão de genes para Runx2, osterix, sialoproteína óssea e osteocalcina. A esponja de colágeno embebida com a reparação promovida peptídeo de defeitos ósseos, enquanto o controle foi menos eficaz. Os resultados deste estudo demonstraram que as células mesenquimais tratados com peptídeo in vitro para diferenciar a osteogênese, e, que os peptídeos entregues in vivo utilizando uma esponja de colágeno promover a reparação de defeitos unicorticais.
